ECS is a modern cultural institution that consolidates the memory of our greatest civic success - the victory of Solidarity.

By preserving and promoting memories of August 80 and the achievements of Solidarity, it wants to promote values such as solidarity, common good, cooperation and integration. The institution is a museum commemorating the Solidarity revolution and the fall of communism in Europe, but also an educational center, research center, archive, library and media center. And finally, public space, a meeting place for citizens who feel responsible for the development of democracy: a zone of practicing solidarity and citizenship.
